Dr. Melissa King, originally from the Milwaukee area, graduated from the University of Wisconsin-La Crosse with a Biomedical Microbiology degree before completing her Doctor of Physical Therapy just down the road at the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee. With certifications in dry needling, as a yoga teacher and as a Nutritional Physical Therapist, Dr. King brings a diverse skill set to her practice.
While Melissa may be the only practitioner at (se)® who hasn’t had the distinction of treating a Milwaukee Brewer, she joins (se)® with over a decade of experience at a prominent Atlanta-area sports medicine clinic where she has helped individuals and athletes at all levels, from high school competitors to aspiring Olympians, achieve peak performance. Her philosophy focuses on understanding each individual beyond symptoms alone. She tailors treatments to their unique lifestyles by integrating hands-on treatment with movement, nutrition, and education to empower patients in achieving enduring physical activity, resilience, and pursuit of their passions. Whether managing the recovery of ultramarathoners, keeping retired globetrotters on their toes, getting pickleball players back in the game, or fitness fanatics lifting heavy again, Melissa applies a wealth of experience and knowledge to her holistic approach to patient care.
Beyond her professional pursuits, Melissa finds peace on hiking trails, exhilaration on ski slopes, and joy in balancing her career with the adventures of motherhood.
